According to the Drewry analytical agency, the Drewry World Container Index WCI (World Container Index ) in the 32nd week of the year increased by 1.7% compared to last week to $1,790.6 per 40-foot container.
At the same time, the Drewry WCI index is now 72.2% lower than the value recorded in the 32nd week of 2022, $6430 for a 40-foot container.
The bid for container delivery on the New York-Rotterdam trade increased by $8 to $798 per 40-foot container.
The rate on the Shanghai– Rotterdam route increased by 3 to $1,673 per 40-foot container.
The rate from Asia to the ports of the Pacific coast of the United States increased by 2% to $2,362 per 40-foot container.
Drewry estimates that spot rates in the Asia–West direction will generally be stable in the next few weeks.
