The global cargo turnover of civil aviation is slowly "coming out of a tailspin"

The global cargo turnover of civil aviation in June 2023 decreased by 3.4% year-on-year, which indicates a significant improvement in this indicator. Since in January 2023 the decline was 16.8% year on year, in February – 9.4%, in March – 7.7%, in April – 6.6%, follows from the report of the International Air Transport Association (IATA ).

The increase in the supply of available capacity in the air cargo market in June slowed to 9.7% year-on-year: from March to May 2023, IATA recorded a double-digit increase in this indicator. In the association, such dynamics are explained by the adjustment of available capacities by airlines in conditions of weakened market demand.

The largest drop in cargo turnover in June was recorded in North America (-6,5%), In the Asia-Pacific region, which occupies a share of more than 32% of the global air transportation market, the drop was only 3.6%, in Europe -2.8%.;), in Africa (-2,8%).
