The EAEU and Mongolia initiated negotiations on concluding a temporary Trade Agreement to reduce or even to eliminate customs duties with respect to certain product groups. The Press Center of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) informed that such decision was made following the results of the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC), which took place on May 8 in Moscow. The Agreement is expected to be signed by the end of the current year.

“Mongolia is not just a neighbor, but an important partner of our countries. In cooperation with our colleges from Ulan Bator the trade policy instruments to be implemented have been comprehensively analyzed to enhance beneficial cooperation, as well as the consequences of free trade formation have been studied”, Andrey Slepnev, the Minister in charge of Trade of the EEC, commented on the decision made.
