# Market News

A container train from Russia for the first time went to Saudi Arabia in transit through Iran. The first train of 36 containers, passing through the territory of Turkmenistan, crossed the border with Iran in Inche-Borun, Iran reports. with reference to the IRIB news agency. Then the container train goes to the port of Bandar Abbas for further shipment to Saudi Arabia.

The launch of the new container service took place within the framework of the International Transport Corridor "North-South" (INSTC).

According to the assessment of the Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRISL), the new route will reduce the delivery time by several days. In addition, the cost of transit through the North-South MTC has almost halved as a result of a reduction in the customs tariff, according to the Iranian customs.

Also, a customs representative told the news agency that it is planned to deliver goods worth about $ 250 billion from India, China and East Asia to Europe via the same route.
