# Market News

It is planned to install a dual-fuel engine in the middle of 2024, first on one vessel, in order to carry out the conversion of other vessels of the series after passing the inspection in 2027. The modernization of the engine will be carried out by MAN Energy Solutions, the corresponding contract has already been signed. Negotiations are currently underway with the shipyards.

Work on the project will begin next year. A detailed study of all technical issues related to the re-equipment of the vessel is planned for mid-2024. As explained in Maersk, it is not just necessary to replace individual parts and engine components, but to install new fuel tanks, a fuel supply system and a fuel preparation unit.
