Cargo traffic from Russia through the North Caucasus increased by 35%

Over 5.5 months of 2023, the growth of container turnover in the Far East compared to the same period last year amounted to 34%, in the Black Sea-Azov region - 21%. In total, more than 1 million containers were moved. In the Far East, since the beginning of the year, 92 million tons of cargo have been transshipped across the border, of which 72 million are by sea transport (over 5.5 months of 2023). In the Caucasus, along the land border, volumes increased by 8 million tons, or by 35% compared with last year.
Overall, imports in 2023 increased by 9% compared to the same period last year.
